"God's own land ...water???"

Include you and me whenever we spot a void in the picturesque lush greenery, the traditional "nalukettu" houses,coconut trees' images that cross our minds at the thought of KERALA.

The void, though not easily discernible in this picturesque scenery,
definitely does exist in the lives of the Adivasis of Kerala who are
struggling incessantly against the Coca Cola giants that are draining
the ground water table, the cause - us...so predictable isnt it?!

Well this article is an effort in dragging the cause into the picture
perfect scenary(.......not anymore!) and fill the void? i am sure we
could easily do that in quantity!! lets try and bring in some quality
- "lets fight for them" - Sitting cozy in our seats, sipping coffee,tea,flavoured milk( i am sure you can find a lot of other beverages) and the struggle part of it - fight the temptation of wanting to drink Coca cola,Pepsi etc.

" 13 activists were arrested on 30 August 2003 at Palakkad when they were holding a peaceful demonstration in front of the Kerala
Ground Water Board. The demonstration was organised by the People's
Union for Civil Liberties - Kerala to voice their protest against the
inefficiency of the Board in tackling the ground water problems created
by Coca Cola Plachimada unit despite daily protests since 22 April 2002
by primarily the Adivasis who are the worst affected"

BlACK WATERS OF KERALA , read it and realize.I have nothing more to
say people, the article says it all - We can do something about
this...especially this 'coz the struggle involves good for "OUR"
health!!(remember the pesticides???)

Lets get the Cola Giants(we should realize that its 'WE' that have
given them this 'gigantic' status) to run for their lives humming their
own song of "Yehi hai right choice"
